Sophia Jansson is the niece of Tove Jansson (1914-2001), the Swedish-speaking Finn illustrator, writer and artist who achieved worldwide fame as the creator of the Moomins, a family of white and roundish trolls with large snouts. Sophia Jansson is the Chairman of the Board and Creative Director of Moomin Characters Ltd. The company owns the rights and licenses original artwork of the Moomins.
