Lára Garðarsdóttir was born in Reykjavik in 1982. She graduated from Hamrahlid College in 2001 and with a diploma in classical drawing and BA in Character Animation from The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark, in 2008. Lára has a broad work experience and has worked with the main media in storytelling, from books to cinema. She has also worked as a part time teacher in The Reykjavík School of Visual Arts. She has illustrated her own books as well as stories by other authors. Lára lives and works in Reykjavik.
